CarePartners is an adult day program with the mission of fostering the strengths and abilities of adults while preserving their dignity, independence, and quality of life.  Our organization supports them and their caregivers in their efforts to remain at home. CarePartners is looking for a highly skilled Executive Director to help us fulfill this important mission.  Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Executive Director will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the organization's operations, including program development, financial management, staff supervision, and fundraising.  As a mentor to staff, the Executive Director will motivate and empower the team to achieve their best work.

 

Objectives of this Role

  • Work closely with board directors and committees to assess and address issues affecting the organization
  • Oversee daily operations of the organization, providing executive direction for program strategies and efficiencies, compliance, and quality assurance
  • Identify and address staffing requirements for efficient operations, and maintain a strong work culture that attracts and retains people while driving the organization’s mission
  • Increase awareness of the organization by being the main spokesperson and liaison with local media and the community at large
  • Develop an actionable plan for managing monthly cash flow and overall fiscal management
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including donors, partners, and community leaders
  • Comply with all national and local regulations

 

 

Responsibilities

Create business plans for achieving goals and objectives set in collaboration with the board of directors

  • Meet annual fundraising goals, in partnership with the board of directors, by securing financial support from foundations, corporations, individual donors, and government funding sources

 

  • Work with staff and board on annual fundraising benefits and additional events, and oversee all external communications, including website, marketing collateral, newsletters, and social media

 

  • Serve as the face of the organization and participate in external events to increase visibility, credibility, and market brand, and develop strategic partnerships to further increase community awareness and expand programs

 

  • Build and lead an effective team that’s dedicated to fulfilling the organization’s mission
  • Manage staff members and clients whose experiences reflect the community served by the organization

 

Qualifications and Required Skills

Master's Degree with one year of supervisory experience and preferably with one year of fiscal management experience or

 

Bachelor's degree with 3 years of supervisory experience in a social or health service setting and preferably with one year of fiscal management experience or

 

Comparable technical and human service experience, fiscal management experience, and demonstrated competence as a manager, preferably in a health or human service setting

  • Knowledge of leadership and management principles for nonprofit organizations, experience managing budgets
  • Proven success working with a board of directors
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, with an innovative approach to business planning
  • Dynamic and charismatic team player who enjoys being the public face of an organization
  • Experience in public relations, marketing, and fundraising
